There are great function of Canon G12 Digital Camera

10.0 Megapixel sensor combined with the DIGIC 4 Image Processor creates Canon's HS SYSTEM
The Canon G12 10MP Digital Camera employs the HS SYSTEM by combining a powerful 10.0 Megapixel CCD sensor and Canon's DIGIC 4 Image Processor. Thanks to this technological advancement, the Canon G12 10MP Digital Camera  is dramatically more sensitive than cameras with identical megapixel counts, and delivers spectacular images with minimal noise. Increased sensitivity demands a higher ISO speed, and the PowerShot G12 delivers with a new maximum setting of ISO 3200. Blur and camera shake are notably reduced for the ultimate in sharpness and clarity.

In addition, a new Low Light mode lets you capture images in an astonishing range of conditions. The camera automatically adjusts the ISO speed from ISO 320 to ISO 12800 in relation to ambient brightness, subject movement and camera shake.

Shoot 720p HD video in stereo sound and play back on an HDTV via the HDMI output
The PowerShot Canon G12 10MP Digital Camera  lets you record video in beautiful high definition (1280 x 720 pixels). The camera also makes it easy to enjoy HD videos (and still photos) on your HDTV with a mini-HDMI connector for direct connection to a high-definition TV monitor. You'll enjoy the HD experience with no degradation of image or audio in the signal, plus the ability to display up to 130 still images at once.

The Canon G12 10MP Digital Camera also includes spectacular video functionality. When shooting video, you can get up close with the 5x Optical Zoom for riveting detail and realism, from the overall appearance to facial expressions! And the camera's Smart AUTO technology that helps ensure the perfect still image works to bring that same quality to your video.

Shooting and recording modes including RAW + JPEG
The Canon G12 10MP Digital Camera's RAW mode lets you shoot images without JPEG compression. It gives you clearer images and complete creative control in editing. RAW images are transferred directly to the computer where they can then be edited using image adjustment software or a processing application to adjust your images as you please. The camera can also be set to allow the simultaneous recording of both RAW and JPEG images while shooting.
Canon's Hybrid IS compensates for angular and shift camera shake during close-up shooting
The Canon G12 10MP Digital Camera  is equipped with Canon's highly advanced Hybrid IS function, which corrects camera shake from two sources to deliver sharp, blur-free images even when you zoom in close to your subject.
Hybrid IS employs both an angular sensor and an accelerometer, enabling it to suppress both the blur caused by the angle of the camera and the "shift blur" that happens when your subject moves parallel to the camera, a problem that is especially noticeable at large zoom factors.

With the ability to produce clear, steady images in all situations and at any zoom length, the Canon G12 10MP Digital Camera is the camera you'll want to take everywhere.

2.8-inch Vari-angle LCD with 461,000 dots plus an optical viewfinder
The Canon G12 10MP Digital Camera  gives you a large 2.8-inch PureColor System LCD screen for excellent control when framing your shots. But size is only part of the story. Canon's PureColor System LCD offers spectacular color, resolution and contrast even at an angle. The screen is durable and easy to see. It is a perfect feature for gathering friends and family around to see your images.

5x Optical Zoom with Optical Image Stabilizer, plus a 28mm Wide-Angle LensThe camera is equipped with a long, 5x Optical Zoom, and Canon's own Optical Image Stabilizer Technology keeps images steady and blur-free all through the zoom range--even in low light--by detecting motion and generating a corrective signal. Because it is an optical system, more corrective movement is allowed and there is no degradation of image quality.

The Canon G12 10MP Digital Camera  is a highly versatile camera with a wide-angle zoom lens that reaches all the way from 28mm at the wide end to 140mm at the telephoto end (35mm format equivalent). You'll capture more image in every shot, and add greater depth to your overall photography.

Optional accessories including Speedlite flashes, underwater housing and Tele-Converter Lens are availableThe Canon G12 10MP Digital Camera is compatible with the Speedlite flash series intended for all EOS series SLR cameras. Attach a Speedlite flash to the hot shoe, then you can set and control the flash on the "Flash Control" menu in the camera. With a Speedlight, the G12 is given extra functions such as autoflash metering, FE lock and Flash exposure compensation; continuous shooting with external flash. Also Canon's Speedlite Transmitter ST-E2 enables you to have multiple slave flashes and wireless control. A Tele-Converter lens designed for the Canon G12 10MP Digital Camera , Filter Adapter FA-DC58B and WP-DC34 Waterproof Case is also available.

High Dynamic Range scene mode combines multiple shots into one pictureShooting in high contrast environments can often result in photos with overexposed and underexposed sections. So to tackle this problem, Canon developed the High Dynamic Range shooting mode to make select PowerShot cameras even more intuitive. Under High Dynamic Range* the camera will shoot three different exposures in a succession (underexposed, overexposed and normal) and then merge them into a single image. Underexposed areas are combined with the overexposed and vice versa, resulting in an evenly detailed image with flattering shadows and highlights.

Canon G12 Digital Camera Comment - Not a toy, excellent photo quality for a serius photographer

I went to Los Angeles last week, Ecuador 10 days holiday, I wanted to be with this new camera in my hands to feel it, but Samy store in Fairfax Blvd, it's not the camera, I ordered one at Amazon (¡pays $ 600 plus shipping fast! Because he was the only one available at the moment , but still, I in my hands.

First impressions: very small, and not just point and shoot camera, but not too big to take with you is better equipment than any point and shoot camera was not wearing a Digital SLR and a large number of lenses is really a Canon 5D MKII, Canon 50D, and I began the world's Canon 20D DSLR something famous is interesting is that I can use all the cameras are a bunch of old Nikkor lenses (20 years) using the adapter ring for me is the perfect marriage, the Canon body Nikkor old, of course, I can not use manual mode and have to use the ring and manual focus to get focus, but ... when my eyes are 20/20 love the final results.

Some features of Canon G12 Digital Camera:

- LCD is fantastic, can not take pictures or shoot videos in almost any position and situation, so beautiful when you take videos or do not want to be noticed, when you shoot more spontaneous pictures.
- ergonomic shape of a wheel with ISO, compensation and status is very well located, they work well.
- New front wheel, which works to increase or decrease the aperture or shutter speed is high.
- menu is easy to use and I like the new shapes and sizes, you can take photos, 10:09, 4:03, 1:01, 3:02, 4:05 to give a better composition and image formats without the culture of the image.
-, has a strong sense of beauty for me is the two parts of the camera, where hands and fingers will need more support.
- trial, I thought the viewfinder seems to be so simple and so "terrible", as someone said earlier, but the diopter works very well and when I clean glasses lens hood, and it became clear enough for a comfortable, that I use it a lot, because there is need to open the LCD and you can see a light green or orange, which indicates that the exposure is permissible or not, "returns to the old days."
- I have not tested enough video, but at first glance, it is allowed to save interesting moments.
- picture quality is awesome, I love, can finally get nearly the quality that I'm in my SLR, but a small camera.
- It's fast, might be willing to shoot another one.
- quality LCD display is not necessarily the best, but you can see, if the picture is ok, and usually if you see that the picture is ok, when you opened any programs What is the image! Really great!
- to me all the wheels are located, the buttons are in the right place, I have a normal-sized hands, wear gloves xl, but not greasy fingers.
- autofocus works well, fast and excellent accuracy, a feature that is not easy to find a compact camera, which reduces the chance of losing a beautiful picture.
- would be perfect, but nothing is.

This is my first week with this camera, I will know more about the experience. Canon G12 Digital Camera Great Camera

Canon G12 10MP Digital Camera Comment - Feast your eyes on an upgraded G series digital camera!

Let me first say that I own or owned a G10, G11, G12 and. I'm not sure why we expect the Canon G12 Digital Camera a major update to the G11. The title of this journal is the first rule of marketing materials on the site Canon .... So this is what I personally expected, and Canon is as far as I'm concerned. I am not a professional, if my observations from the perspective of an average man with a serious addiction camera. I took advantage of images side by side with my G10, G11, G12 and I have to be honest, I could not say much, but a nod would go to the last picture. They're all great, however, and are perfect for an average user like me. My tests are not scientific and not exhaustive - I have to work to live, after all. I am very satisfied with the quality, but it is a major update since the previous G series cameras, I do not think so. If I had to choose, I'd probably go for the Canon G12 Digital Camera, because the pictures are a bit more pleasant for me and the camera is easier to work with, but only if I am forced to choose!

Canon G12 Digital Camera
Build quality is as you expect from Canon's upscale compact that costs $ 500. It's great, just like the G10 and G11. They feel and look quite similar. There are a few additional rubber on the back of your thumb, which is nice. General, and my hands are small enough, I find the Canon G12 10MP Digital Camera easiest of the three cameras I compare retention.

Probably the most important feature is the use of Canon HS (high sensitivity) system (combination of sensor and processing engine), which migrates from the EOS range. Is his promise to improve the image quality and can shoot up to ISO? I think the answer is yes it does, but not much. The camera tops out at ISO 3200 registered on the dial and you can bump to 12,800 but at lower resolution using the Low Light mode. Again, this is how it looks unprofessional my rapidly aging eyes. Whether it's worth missing an upgrade to a G11 is completely subjective and I can not answer that for everyone. The device also features a hybrid system to update the Canon 100mm macro lens, which compensates for a greater variety of camera type. It seemed that the camera work more effectively to obtain sharper images at the same speed as my G11. This is important for me that my hands shake and I like macro and can not always use a tripod. I also want people to buy a point and turn the camera on a tripod shooting with them.

There are other shooting modes including new HDR, which takes several photos, then combines them for details, better lighting. FYI, this feature is available in the Ricoh cameras for some time now, Canon and Nikon are just catching up here. But I think it works a little better on the Canon as it is in my Ricoh. The images seem a little richer, more detailed for me. Canon offers a level to match with this camera lets you view your photos, and more levels. Another feature that also for years.

There are other subtleties of this unit. As you can pre-set the maximum ISO sensitivity level (like many cameras seem to have more than I can the ISO myself), there is a dial settings before (another legacy of the EOS) of control, you can dynamic range (like the Sony cameras of the past) to better highlight control, and can be fired in an aspect ratio of 1:1 (square, which I personally that, you guessed it, Canon is too late for the party in this function) to name a few.

I will not comment on the video. I never use it and if I could capture video capabilities to say, a sensor slightly larger or better, faster lens or a trade, I would without hesitation. But I have no idea if something is possible or even practical. This is only my opinion and reflects my personal set of priorities. If it were me, I would refrain from most of the scenes and the video if it meant a lower price or a camera with better picture quality.

I share many of the conclusions that it is a gradual upgrade of the G11 and Canon's literature seems to suggest. Higher expectations than can be met with disappointment. But in my opinion, the Canon G12 Digital Camera bar, if only slightly, one of the best compact cameras available. I suppose that as long as you keep the Canon G12 Digital Camera is, (an upgrade) in perspective with what is not (evolution), you will find yourself regretting your purchase.
